Operations Reserve Staff
Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our reserve team as Firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics. As a Firefighter, EMT, or paramedic, you will play a crucial role in protecting and serving our community. This position requires a combination of firefighting skills and emergency medical training.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls for fires, accidents, and medical emergencies
- Perform firefighting duties, including extinguishing fires, rescuing individuals, and controlling hazardous situations
- Provide emergency medical care to patients at the scene and during transportation to the hospital
- Assess patients' conditions, administer first aid, and perform CPR and basic life support
-Performing Advanced Life Support
- Operate and maintain firefighting and emergency medical equipment
-Enter and submit electronic patient care reports
- Pre-planning, Automatic aid, and mutual aid procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification as an EMT-Basic or higher (or currently enrolled in a program)
- Firefighter I & II with hazmat certificate (or currently enrolled in a program)
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform heavy lifting and carry equipment
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical procedures
-Knowledge of advanced medical procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for operating firefighting equipment

8-hour day shift
12-hour day shift
12-hour evening shift
24-hour shift
48-hour shift
License/Certification: Must have required certifications or be enrolled in a program and completed before the end of the first year of employment.
Firefighter certification (Required or program completion within one year of hiring date)
EMT Certification (Required or program completion within one year of hiring date)
NREMT Paramedic (Preferred or program completion within one year of hiring date)
