Operations

The Operations Division is responsible for carrying out the fire district's primary emergency response functions. The division’s mission is to protect and preserve life, property, and the environment through effective emergency response, fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention efforts, and public education. Operations personnel serve as the front line of the district and are dedicated to providing professional, timely, and compassionate service to the community.
The division responds to a wide range of emergencies, including structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous conditions, and other incidents requiring emergency assistance. Firefighters and emergency medical personnel work together to quickly assess situations, stabilize hazards, and provide the necessary care or intervention needed to protect lives and minimize property loss.
Emergency medical services (EMS) are a critical component of the Operations Division. Personnel are trained and certified to provide advanced life support medical care, responding to medical emergencies with the equipment and expertise necessary to deliver immediate patient care until transport services arrive. This capability ensures that residents and visitors receive rapid medical assistance when needed most.
In addition to emergency response, the Operations Division actively supports the district’s fire prevention and public education initiatives. Personnel participate in community outreach programs, safety demonstrations, and public awareness campaigns designed to reduce fire risk and improve community preparedness. By educating the public about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and risk reduction, the division helps prevent emergencies before they occur.
The Operations Division places strong emphasis on training and professional development. Personnel regularly participate in continuing education, drills, and skills-based training to maintain certifications and remain proficient in the latest firefighting techniques, medical practices, and safety procedures. This ongoing training ensures that personnel are fully prepared to respond to the diverse and evolving challenges faced in emergency services.
Equally important is the health and safety of the district’s members. The Operations Division promotes a culture of safety by adhering to established policies, using appropriate protective equipment, and implementing best practices during emergency responses and training activities. Maintaining the physical and mental well-being of personnel enables the division to sustain a high level of readiness and effectiveness.
Through dedication, training, and a commitment to service, the Operations Division plays a crucial role in fulfilling the fire district’s mission to protect the community and deliver dependable emergency services.
